FASTFOUR PROMOTED EVENTS WILL BE TREATED AS A SANCTION. THIS RULE BOOK WILL BE UTILIZED AT ALL EVENTS UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE.
ANY PERMANENT CHANGES MADE WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND OUR WEBSITE TO ALLOW TEAMS TIME TO ADAPT.

1.1. ORIGINAL STARTS
- The race will begin once the racing surface is clear and the drivers are properly aligned in their assigned starting positions.
- Any driver, team, and/or kart, who purposely hold up the start of any race will be placed at the rear of the lineup.
- Once the entire field is fired, any kart arriving to the staging area will be deemed late and will lose two (2) starting positions.
- Any kart pushed after the field assembles will start at the rear of the field with no passing points eligible.
- The Pole Sitter will control the pace speed at a consistent rate.
- The front row will accelerate together at a designated zone that will be clearly marked. Depending on the event, FASTFOUR Promotions may alter the start zone to be on the backstretch, or in Turn 4. Any driver out of line and/or passing before the green flag will be penalized two (2) positions from their original position at the next caution or at the end of the race; whichever comes first. If the driver located on the last row of the starting grid jumps the start, then they will be penalized two (2) positions from their finishing position at the next caution or at the end of the race; whichever comes first. If the same driver continues to jump the start, they are subject to disqualification at the discretion of the officials.

- If the front row jumps the original start, the caution will fly and the obvious offender will be penalized two (2) positions.
          * If both front row drivers simultaneously jump, the entire second row will swap with the original front row.

          * Each driver will only have one try. If another jump ensues, officials will cycle out the front row until it's successful.
          * If the inside row jumps twice, the driver from the third row inside will be given an attempt.

                    * If the inside row jumps again, the driver from the fourth row inside would then be given an attempt.
- All karts involved in a crash before the finish line on the original start will go to the back.
          * None of the karts involved will be charged with a yellow, however.
          * In this instance, the field does not race to the yellow. It will revert back to an original start.
- In order to receive start money, drivers MUST take the original green flag regardless of circumstance.
          * Firing off for the event and pacing around, but not taking the green does not count as a start.

1.2. RESTARTS
- Double-file restarts will be used in all Heat Races and Main Events.

          * Box Stock: single file for all restarts when a backstretch restart zone is utilized.
          * Beginner Box Stock: single file for all restarts when a backstretch restart zone is utilized.

- Once the running order has been established and the field is set, the race leader will choose the inside or outside lane. Once the leader determines lane choice, the field will stack up accordingly with odds on the inside and evens on the outside.
          * The only exception is the second place runner. If the leader chooses the top, second place would restart on the bottom.
          * Purposely choosing the wrong lane on a restart will result in a two (2) spot penalty.
- The field must remain double-file and nose-to-tail until the race is started in the designated restart zone.
- Restarts will take place in the designated restart zone. The race leader will set a consistent pace and, as the control car, may accelerate at any point in the restart zone. When the green flag is displayed, all passing is permitted throughout the field.
- If the leader accelerates before the restart zone, the caution will fly and they will receive a two (2) spot penalty.
- Any driver out of line and/or passing before the green flag will be penalized two (2) positions from their original position.
- If one (1) green flag lap is not completed after
ONE attempt at a double-file restart, the ensuing restart(s) will be single file until two (2) green flag laps are fully completed.

1.3. SINGLE FILE STARTS
- Drivers will assemble in single-file running order, nose to tail.
- The race leader will set a consistent pace and, as the control car, may accelerate at any point in the restart zone

- If the leader accelerates before the restart zone, the caution will fly and they will receive a two (2) spot penalty.
- Drivers are not allowed to pass on single-file restarts until they pass a designated cone.
          * Hitting, or passing before, the cone will result in a two (2) spot penalty.
- Lapped karts will not get their lap back by electing to drop to the back. Drivers down one lap will remain in their position in the order of running and must earn their lap back. They can elect to go to the tail if they choose not to interfere with the racing, but would still be a lap down. If there is a caution with five (5) or less laps to go, all lapped karts will line up behind the last kart on the lead lap.

SECTION 2
2.1. FLAGS
2.1.1. GREEN

- When the green flag is displayed, the track is open for racing.
- The green flag signifies the start of any run.
- Passing will not be permitted before the green flag is displayed on starts/restarts.

2.1.2. YELLOW
- When the yellow flag is displayed, and the caution lights are on, this signifies a caution period.
- Racing will continue until the leader and rest of the field has taken the "waving" yellow flag.
          * If the caution lights are on, but the flagman is not waving the yellow, competitors need to keep racing until it's waved.
          * When the flagman is waving the yellow, the drivers are crossing the "race to the line".
- All drivers are responsible for retaining their position. Safe Passing is permitted until drivers have officially taken the yellow.
          * Racing through a wreck dangerously can result in penalty.
          * Drivers pushing others into a wreck to gain a position is an example of unsafe racing to the yellow.
- Once the field has taken the yellow, all karts must slow down and line-up in single file formation.
          * The order the field crossed the yellow flag is the order the line-up would be on the next restart.
- Drivers that are involved in a wreck and unable to leave the scene without an official touching their kart are considered part of the yellow and will be charged for it. Each driver is allowed two (2) yellow flag charges, where they will be sent off the racetrack.
          * If a driver stops on the racetrack and draws a yellow, that's a caution charge.
          * If a driver is stuck in a wreck but keeps the kart running, that's a caution charge.
- Drivers intentionally drawing a yellow flag will be warned, and then penalized if it happens again.
- If any FASTFOUR Officials are on the track, all racing stops and drivers will slow immediately.
- During a qualifying session, once the yellow light/flag is displayed, all drivers will slow immediately and all timing stops.

2.1.3. RED
- All drivers must safely come to a stop, while not stopping at, or driving through, the incident zone.
- When a red flag is displayed, the field [not involved in the wreck] will revert back to the last fully completed lap for lineup.
- If the red flag is displayed after the white flag has been displayed, the race will restart with one (1) lap to go.
          * FASTFOUR events will not end under red flag unless the curfew is met.
- Failure to observe the red flag will result in a penalty at the discretion of the Director of Competition.
- The red flag nullifies any yellow if there was a yellow flag first.

- Only the flipped cars will be charged for a yellow if there's a pileup, but all cars will go to the rear of the field.

2.1.4. BLACK
- Exit the racing surface to the pit area or inspection cone for consultation.
- Driver will no longer be scored and the race will not resume until the driver leaves the surface.

2.1.5. WHITE
- One (1) lap to go in the race.

2.1.6. CHECKERED
- The Qualifying/Race Run is officially over.
- Only Main Events and Lower Mains will be awarded attempts at a Green-White-Checkered finish.
- Heat Races will run to their scheduled distance.

SECTION 3

3.1. UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT
- Fighting on the premises will result in an immediate suspension. Drivers are responsible for the actions of their pit crew.
- Any display of unsportsmanlike conduct will result in: fine, disqualification and/or suspension.
- In the event of extreme or excessive action, FASTFOUR Officials may choose to assess penalties beyond what is listed above.
- Rough driving will result in docked position(s), fine(s) or disqualification.

- Any team(s) that disrupt the live broadcast on FASTFOUR to verbally attack the promoter will be thrown out immediately.
